The Gringos Virginia Beach Concert reviews
Amos Lee and his band were outstanding!
"I loved a few of the new pieces he performed in this concert, although I rarely love a new song upon first hearing. The Gringos and all members of his band, along with Elliot Skinner, put on a fantastic show. His vocal repertoire has clearly been expanded, and the innovative things he did with his voice were wonderful. The concert had me trying to recall what initially captured my interest in The Gringos, and I remembered it was "Windows Are Rolled Down" (I still adore it even though he now considers it inferior). There is something grand about that song, as it opens up a part of my soul. Each band member excelled in their own way. The Gringos paid tribute to his band numerous times during the concert by featuring each of them with solos and sharing brief bio information with the audience. This was the third or fourth time I've seen him live, and he improves with each performance. Elliot Skinner's vocals were akin to a spiritual experience - in the most wonderful way. I eagerly anticipate his upcoming tour, album, artistic endeavors, and revisits to previous works! The Gringos and the band are truly exceptional artists!!!"
